GUJIYA
Gujiya is a dish which is very famous in North India.This Indian dessert commonly made during the festival of Holi.
The nutrition of gujiya depends on its ingredients. Nut, seeds and dry fruits are high in fiber, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
Rawa provides dietary fiber, protein and trace amount of minerals like calcium.
Instead of deep frying the gujiya , brush them with ghee and bake at 180 degree for 10 mins.

INGREDIENT
For Dough
- Maida : 1 cup
- Ghee : 1 tbsp
- Ajwain : 1 tsp
- Salt for taste
- Water as required
- Oil for deep frying
For Stuffing
- Suji / Rava : 1 cup
- Ghee : 2 tbsp
- Badam : 1 tbsp sliced
- Kismis : 1 tbsp chopped
- Kaju : 1 tbsp chopped
- Sugar : 1/2 cup
METHOD
For making dough
- Take a bowl pour maida in it , add ghee and mix well.
- Now add ajwain and salt, mix well.
- Add water to make a soft dough and keep it aside to set.
For Stuffing
- Heat a pan, add ghee to it.
- Add suji to it and stir till it changes its colour.
- When suji changes its colour add dry fruits and sugar to it.
- Now switch of the gas and keep it aside for cooling.
Preparation of Gujiya
- Take dough and make small pieces out of it.
- Now make small puri, then hold puri on your palm and make a bowl with it.
- Fill it up with the stuffing and cover it up with your fingers or can use gujiya maker.
- Now heat up oil in a pan.
- In low flame add gujiya for flying.
- Cook till its colour changes to golden brown in low flame.
- Take out gujiya on tissue paper.
- Instead of deep frying the gujiya , brush them with ghee and bake at 180 degree for 10 mins.
- Now its ready for serving.
