AMRA KI CHUTNEY
Amra or Indian HOG PLUM are found widely across the world, including central America , western Africa and Asia. The Amra tree leaves and dried stem too are believed to have healing properties and is used for medical purpose in Ayurveda.
Amra has a sweet- sour taste and is an excellent source of vitamin C and iron.

This contain Vitamin C as stated above, which works as an immunity booster, it help to improve skin vitality and to heal wounds quickly.

Lets start the recipe.........

Calories : 8.55 (in one tablespoon)
INGREDIENT
- Amra ( Hog Plum) : 1 kg
- Cooking Oil : 3-4 tbsp
- Cummin seed (jeera) : 2 tsp
- Fenugreek seed ( methi) : 2 tsp
- Garlic : 2 clove chopped
- Dry Red Chilli( khadi lal mirch) : 2
- Sugar : 1 cup
- Turmeric ( haldi) : 1 tsp
- Salt a pinch of it.
- Water as required.
METHOD
- Then keep them aside in a bowl.
- Now take a pan, heat it up and add oil to it, in medium flame .
- Now add cummin seed ( jeera) and methi to it and let them crackle.
- Then add garlic, turmeric powder and dry red chilli.
- Add Amra to it, cook it in medium flame.
- Let them turn to golden brown colour.
- Now add sugar to it and a pinch of salt.
- Let them cook for a minute.
- Then add water to it as required, cook in medium flame.
- When it starts soften, mash them lightly with a masher for making it thick.
- Cook it for 3-4 min more, then its ready to serve.
